The lack of Phone Support is Not The Reps Fault

It’s Management!

The phone rep has no control on where Amazon places there phone number or policy in general.

The problem is somewhere upstairs management decided that the money saved by people giving up on calling was more important then the time and tears of their customers.

It’s cheaper for you to dig around the internet and try t serve yourself.

Amazon is the largest online retailer in the United States of America.  The can put there number wherever they want.

If you the customer don’t speak up, then the numbers will never crunch in favor of a human helping another.

More Then One Password a.k.a. Muptiple Seller Accounts

Turns out that the Amazon Web Services tech support tipped me off that using the same username with different services and using a different password makes it “multiple seller accounts”.

O.K. fine.   Odd, but an explanation anyway.

But why can’t Amazon Seller Performance just tell you what the policy conflict is?

Dealing with anonymous form letters without access to live telephone support is just asking end user frustration.

My Last Friendly Email

amzon seller central help

January 21, 2009 – email transcript

To Whom It May Concern,  (latter found that it was of no concern to… seller-evaluation@amazon.com, seller-performace@amazon.com, amazonpayments-seller-performance@amazon.com)

My name is Jason.  I have been accused of being connected to another account with policy violations.  I am innocent of false pretense and willing to swear so under legal bind.

Please review my case log.

Amazon technical help has been very good to me and I have loved selling on Amazon.  I have never had a negative feedback and only want to continue.

In November 2008 while starting out with Amazon, I did not understand why the pictures of my products from my amazon web store showed up on the marketplace but the item was unavailable.

I ended up closing two amazon web stores before learning that the marketplace access was a separate fee.  Closing the two stores did not, however, close those accounts.

After finding those account charges on my visa I called Amazon technical support.  They were able to help me close those accounts and gave me refunds. (December 18th, 2008 Case ID 4729841)

In January, Amazon promoted Web Services, EC2 and Amazon Payments to my account.

On January 21, 2009

While signing up for Amazon Payments Business Account I was prompted with the option of using my existing account. I thought that since I was given that option, it was indeed an option. So I picked it for convenience.

Later that same day, I got the email below from Amazon Payments Seller Performance Team saying the account was blocked and for policy violations.

Later still on January 21, I contacted Amazon Technical Support about this issue as recorded in Case ID 5641791.

Amazon Technical Support was again helpful.  Amazon.com Technical Account Management reviewed my account and noted, “that everything is fine now”.

Please consider that the initial policy violation was solved with a refund, and when signing up for Amazon Payments I was given the option to use my existing account.

On May 21st my Amazon Marketplace account was shut down due to linking to account with policy violation.

I realize that Amazon is a huge organization in which departments cannot always have access to the same information but the vagueness of “policy violation”, no access to phone seller performance, and dramatic form letter emails have caused tears and great deal of stress on my family.

I humbly request that the nature of the policy violations and the subsequent resolution recorded in my case log be taken into consideration and the block on my merchant account be lifted.

Respectfully,
Jason

P.S.  I have also opened an account with Amazon Web Services.  This account is in good standing and is in no way connected to the Amazon marketplace.  I only used it to learn about EC2 and briefly ran a Linux server in the cloud.  Once again, I was given the option of choosing from starting a new account on top or use the current one on the bottom.
